Trip to Pawleys Island (Mother's Day Weekend)

Our trips to Pawleys are always so great- it's such a nice getaway and fun to have family still so close. I kept forgetting my camera this weekend though, so there aren't too many pictures. The beach was a blast on Saturday- 88 and sunny! We swam in the ocean a bit too and it owned us... the current was so strong and kept taking our suits down. It really was a FULL MOON. teehee. We also went for a bike ride on Sunday morning.... which was great until I got a flat tire about 15-20mins into the ride. It was really frustrating because I have had so many issues with my back wheel/tire within the past year or so. I ended up walking my bike back and Erik picked me up. He hurt his shoulder trying to get the bike into the Escape and my water bottle holder busted into pieces too. We decided that was enough "biking" for the day. : )
It was a gorgeous night so we went to a place called "Quiggleys" and sat outside for a drink. Very relaxing!
Quiggleys was in a community similar to where we live now... "work, live, play" type thing. This was the view from where we were sitting. There were other restaurants, a pool, grocery store, and really cool townhomes... we were very interested in them when we were thinking of living in Pawleys Island (with our imaginary jobs there) : )

We went out to eat at a place called the "High Hammock" - it is right by all of the hammock shops and had a really fun environment. I had salmon and Erik had tilefish (whatever that is) - it was a surprise to us both! Yummmmm.

We ended up going to the beach on Sunday after our biking attempt. This is my new swim suit cover-up I got at Mary and Kev's Hammock Shop! I should have striked a "fiercer" pose!!!

WOOT WOOT - Blogs from my girls today - what a fun surprise. You look great as Flo did too in her pics - boy the OCEAN and Monet's Garden what awesome adventures you are having. My Mother would be crazy if we had such ideas. She barely got out of the midwest. Wonderful to follow your dreams.

POST TRES SCROTUM:

or should we GONG her?!?
and it's not Erik with a K
it's Erik with a bell now?!?
I'm not sure if Whitney is a lamcoc
or an ingshmin??? (but at least she got to meet Monet!)
maybe Yanni should research
babelfish and teach us about it!!
some of us celebrated May 2th
while some of you celebrated Chinco de Mayonaise!?!
and why did Judge Judy decide that Swiss cheese could be neutral?
...and Lantha's heel hurts!!!
the end.
POST QUATRO SCROTUM: Yes Kyra, that really is what it stands for!!! (we were too embarrassed to tell you when you were younger)
POST CINCO DE MAYO: we are a strange family - Gleisner pride?!?

Gleisner Pride? Maybe Windler Warbles??

What's a WARBLE?
I think I'd rather have pride.

[i'm typing this while laughing hysterically at the previous comments]

I think I have to put this into points, since post # scrotum is too much to type each time:

1. Minne learnt "woot woot" from me :)
2. Lani, my heel hurts too! So maybe age isn't the issue?
3. and, IS THERE such a thing as TOO MUCH fun?!?! I submit that there is NOT!
4. Dana, I'm no longer a lamcoc, I'm a trunlyci.
5. Gleisner pride, cuz according to Merriam-Webster, a warble is a "melodious succession of low pleasing sounds", or a "musical trill", don't those two contradict each other?
6. Dana, are you on drunk?
7. We are clearly overdue for a gleisner gals get-together.
8. Anyone know where I can get handlebar tassles for Erik with a bell?

Love. Wee Flo Whit

So who here thinks that this is hilarious and why am I always the last one to read the blogs? Does that make me the "post scrotum" of the gleisner girls? We don't have much male influence in us bunch so that might be all we have to settle for? And would I be sent to the principle's office for making fun of our teacher lesson? I thinks we're getting out of COUTROLL! (my word verification word) Love us, we're funny.
