Thanksgiving down south

THAT'S my boy!!! He was really into the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade : )
Me... on Thanksgiving... a chef cooked our meal for us. Aren't we fancy?!!?

Erik... on Thanksgiving... he forgot his turkey headband I guess!

Such a good sport... he built our tree and then posed for the picture (with ornament earrings). It's way prettier in the dark and lit up... we like it : )

Close up of his HOT earrings. Great new style. All the kids are doin' it.

My earrings aren't quite as noticable, but I have jingle bell earrings and they truly do jingle! Lantha, the stockings are the first thing we see when we walk in the door!

Snowman and Santa just hanging out.... yes, they drank all of our wine which is why we are empty here. Silly boys.

Our snowman plates and coffee mugs from Aunt Mary and Uncle Kevin... we like to pretend we have snow around here I guess??? Hey, we're hoping for it- a "snow day" down here takes maybe 1-2" of snow and then it melts the next day!

A close-up of the snowman design

YEAAAA Pawleys Island... we went there for the weekend to spend some Thanksgiving happy time with Mary and Kevin. This grandma apparently thought that 60 degrees was stocking cap and blanket(s) weather, but that didn't stop her from enjoying the beach!

Erik and Mary walking Luc on the beach... Luc would run wild if he could, but there were too many people around. All the other dogs just look at him and pee themselves out of fear, when really he is probably the biggest lover out there!

Aunt Mary and I feeling great after our massages and beach walk... happiness!

So so so so so great. I can't get enough of the beach when we are in Pawleys Island and we miss it a lot when we are away! That's why we keep making that 8hr round trip drive... always worth this beautiful landscape... (the beach, Luc, the showers/bath... they have amazing bathing facilities, OHHHH and I guess we like seeing Mary and Kevin sometimes too) xoxo!!! : )

Out for dinner at Franks, one of our favorite restaurants in Pawleys... especially since we just walk there because it's right across the street! Most of their seating is outdoors- year around too- they have heat lamps which allow it to feel comfortable even in the winter!

Cheers to a happy couple... and boy does it feel good to be HAPPY again! : )
(PS Yanni, close your eyes so you don't see my necklace that I wasn't supposed to wear with my "cowl" neck sweater)

The bartender (my buddy, Shep) knew how to make a Grasshopper dessert drink! I haven't had one of those since Minnesota because it's a northern drink and no one down here knows how to make one..... it hit the spot!

No better way to end a great weekend than with a Luc cuddle. Mary told him that he got to "stay up and watch a movie with Erik and Kyra." So, he ran to the couch, jumped up on us and made himself comfortable like the lap dog that he knows that he is!

Lake Jocassee... family, fun, fantastic landscape and football!

Two weekends ago, we got the AMAZING opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Jocassee and the always enjoyed company of kev and mary. We had such a great time down in South Carolina- it was one of the best weekends ever!
A view from the deck of the cottage we stayed at... so beautiful!

This is a view of our cottage from the road. It was really tucked back in the trees. It was gorgeous inside- had a real homey feel!

Luc and I taking in the views : )
Lake Jocassee was huge!!!
Ready for our hike.... Luc lead the way thankfully!

My boys needed a little breather... Mary and I are hard to keep up with!

Mary making sure we aren't too lost and Luc suckin' down the water... not knowing when we'll ever get back home! : )

We are the shadows, but the real beauty is behind us! Loved how clear the lake was too!

Nothing better after a long hike than a jacuzzi bathtub... let's just say I am PRETTY HAPPY here!

The path going to the cottage... I may have tripped once or twice, yes.

Luc trotting over the bridge to the dock to come see what we were doing!

And he joined right in on my nap... such a good cuddle partner!
Erik doing what he does best: pretending to catch fish! : )

Aunt Mary lockin up as we are ready to go to the Clemson football game!

Tailgating at the Clemson game! What a wild experience!

MARCHING BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tailgaters for miles and miles and miles.....

Close quarters at the game... which is exactly why we made so many friends! Haha!

Aunt Mary made the best friend of the night though... he wanted a KISS at the end of the game! Ya'll should probably ask her about it!

Hey Dad! Do you see us?!??! We're the ones in orange : )

THE PAW.
We got to go for a 4hr boat ride on Sunday... we are so spoiled! Such a beautiful day and a great way to enjoy the scenery!

This house was unreal. Just had to take a picture.

Erik liked the dam. He felt it was manly... so he took a picture.

Mary and Luc just hangin out taking it all in...

Our brave and handsome captain... Uncle Kev

Pretty : )

There were various waterfalls in the little pockets of Lake Jocassee... here was one of them. So peaceful and beautiful!

One big happy family...... right Aunt Mary? Haha- we'd claim Luc any day!

Nice little patch of colors here - loved to still be able to see some of that too!

YES ITS MORE SCENERY PICTURES! It was just that pretty! I'm running out of adjectives... teacher yanni, can you help here?

A mini waterfall... kinda makes you have to piddle a little bit.
Remember when Ty and Dad would put paper towels under Grandma Dee's chair at Christmas because we just knew she would laugh so hard that she would pee her pants? LOL. Love you everybody and can't wait to see you all in a month!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charlotte autumn and random pics of friends

Here are some random pictures from the past few months- friends, trees, blue skies and beautiful weather. I will post some pictures from our weekend in Clemson/Lake Jocassee (with Mary and Kevin) soon! I have them on facebook for now. Love to you all!
Erik and I at our favorite 131 Main restaurant (this was in September... hence our tans)
two of my favorite guys- Paulie and Jason

Erik and Ryan being super creepy to Nandini

Two of my favorite girls who are now our neighbors (two blocks away)! Bekah and Faby are wonderful!

SO these trees are on the Maersk campus... they used to be full and beautiful. I waited a week too long to take this picture. Oh well- you get the jist of it!

The trees around the Maersk pond are really pretty too- such gorgeous colors contrasting with the blue water. Look at me talking like a photo pro...

A pic of the Maersk fountain... it greets me every time I come into work!

This is in the Southpark area of Charlotte, NC. It is a gorgeous area just loaded with trees. I take this route every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for therapy!

Pretty tree, pretty tree. (kinda like dumb and dumber.... pretty birrrrrrrrrd.... right ma? get it?) : )

Another shot of the Maersk fountain... it's pretty. A rubber ducky has been floating in the water for months now too. It makes me laugh every time!

This is in the Ayrsley area (our neighborhood). So beautiful!

Yep. A tree. But a pretty one! I love the shades of red.
